Well, we've confined ourselves due to doctor's advice. We are hanging at home - cancelled work for our employees this week and sent everyone home. Fortunately there are no reported cases in our state, and we hope it stays that way! However, we also learned that there is no medication (Tamiflu) for the virus in our state either, so if someone does come in contact with The Swine (as I like to call it), treatment options are slim to none. Yesterday we felt a little silly staying in while we saw other people walking the streets like normal, however, after hearing about the baby who died this morning, we're perfectly fine to stay right where we are!
So Day 1 was spent playing with Soph, answering emails, playing with Soph some more and answering more emails. Responding to frantic brides about whether or not to cancel their weddings, dealing with one cancelled site visit. We cleaned our house, watched Marley and Me (ridiculous movie - I don't know WHO said it was good. I cried the whole stinking last hour and then snuggled with my dogs for another half hour), watched the news and went to bed. The most uneventful day we've had in years!
Sophia, on the other hand, toddled around the house at warp speeds, played with mom and dad ALL DAY, dumped a box of Cheerios on the floor, drove around in a makeshift BoxCar and finally pooped out around 9 pm.
So we are on to Day 2. What ever will the day bring?
