We stayed at the RIU Palace Pacifico which just opened this past November and is crazy fancy! (Waaaaay fancier than we are, but we did our best to blend in!) The lobby had over 100 crystal chandeliers!!!
We spent a few days just hanging out together, spending afternoons floating in the pool and sipping pina coladas next to the swim-up bar,
swinging in the playground,
eating ice cream and more ice cream,
gossiping with other sunbathers (mostly Sophia gossiping, Pablo and I just hanging out nearby in case our daughter decided to look for her parents),
sprinting around the courtyard,
flirting with the bartenders (again . . . Sophia),
learning to sip through a straw,
splashing in the ocean,
making new friends
and just being all-around adorable (yet again, Sophia) - not sure Pablo and I are so adorable. In fact, I know we are not.
Pina Coladas, Family Time and AIR-CONDITIONING, seriously . . . we could not have asked for more!

Looks awesome! The pina colada's especially. A swim-up bar is a criteria for me when locating for a resort. Speaking of...we are looking for a vacation this winter and Vallarta has made our short list (along with Cabo). Jay wants Hawaii but I don't think we have enough vacation time to go down there.
