Boring News is Better than No News?

So for lack of anything better to post (in other words - no news on our end whatsoever!), I will simply add some recent photos to keep our blog stalkers (Haha! Like we actually have any!) satisfied. (Please note that due to Sophia's newfound love for walking, running, climbing stairs . . . anything really that doesn't involve staying still, many of these photos are a bit blurry!

First up we've got Sophia showing a bit of her Mexican spirit! A few weeks ago we personalized some maracas for one of our weddings; a few disappeared and became Sophia's new musical instrument!

The other day we stopped in at Michelle's house to see how Luna (her new puppy) was doing! Well, she is growing like a weed (can you say that about puppies?) and Soph found the whole experience truly interesting. She was more interested in the dog crate, dog box and dog treats than she actually was in the dog!

The city is currently remodeling (um, if you can call it that) the park across the street from our house. Only, instead of making it beautiful, they have pulled a Mexi-can't and have merely destroyed all grass and left the project half-done - what a mess!

The weather here has gotten Hot Hot Hot! So hot that Soph's daily style includes nothing more than her diaper. (Man how I wish I could wander around in only that and still be considered adorable!) The other day she and Pablo took a walk around the park (Soph in a tank, her diapers and crocs) to inspect the situation! And later on Soph helped Pablo fix the car. Two peas in a pod!

And with the following photo, you may think (after my previous post) that all we like to do is eat! But seriously, check out this coconut shrimp we had last weekend!

And then a dessert platter - yes, we took a slight break from our diets! Look carefully at who is really grabbing that spoon all ready to dig in!

In case you are left with any doubt, I zoomed for you!

And while i won't deny that we love good food, I promise we do have other interests. Such as read-singing her Spanish version book of "The Wheels on the Bus Go Round and Round" about a million times a day. Those darn wheels just don't stop. And the wipers - swish swish swish swish - STOP SWISHING ALREADY! We read the book on the couch, on the windowseat, in the rocker, on the bed, sitting on the floor. It's like green eggs and ham. Sophia will take The Bus Wheels anywhere, anyhow. Can you tell how very much we love this book? (Note the sarcasm.) I actually told her the bus had broken down and was at the mechanic the other day; I refused to sing.

We got in a little more beach time this past weekend with a quick trip to Bucerias where Sophia found a playmate. She is fascinated by other children. She is not, however, quite prepared to share her sand toys; while she looks innocent enough in these photos, she really preferred raking the poor girl's face to actually interacting with her.

And last but not least, I will touch briefly on mealtime. Perhaps just a tad less enticing to me than read-singing The Wheels on the Bus is feeding my daughter. She is picky. She is fiesty. She is a mess. Perhaps I misstated that. I have absolutely nothing against providing my child with nutritious meals. And I have no no way whatsoever issue with her giving me endless kisses and hugs. I do not, however, love the moments when she grasps at my neck and peppers my face with kisses as I pull her from her high chair looking like this:

That's all I've got. Told you it wasn't that interesting! We are wrapping up two weddings this month then done for the season! Woohoo! We've got fun plans for the summer and can't wait!
